KEARNEY - The Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team continued its winning ways Friday night by sweeping past Chadron State in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match in Kearney. The scores were 25-11, 25-15, 25-16.
The No. 4 ranked Lopers posted 50 kills and had just 13 hitting errors while compiling a .366 hitting percentage. They are now 30-1 for the season and 18-0 in the RMAC with one match to play during the regular season.

CHADRON - The Chadron State College volleyball team will be at home for a pair of matches this weekend as the season enters its final stretch. The Eagles will play just four more matches after this weekend.
CSC will host Colorado-Colorado Springs at 6 p.m. Friday for Senior Night and Colorado Christian at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Armstrong Building.

CHADRON - Fresh off back-to-back Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victories, the Chadron State College volleyball team will look to carry that momentum with them to New Mexico this weekend for a pair of matches against West Division foes. The Eagles face Western New Mexico on Friday and New Mexico Highlands on Saturday.
Western New Mexico could be CSC’s toughest opponent this weekend. The Mustangs are 8-9 overall and 6-3 in the RMAC after losing to both Regis and Metro State, but defeating Colorado Christian during a trip to Denver last weekend.

As many options to help defray travel expenses in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference exist as there are schools under consideration to join the conference.
The RMAC is studying expanding to 16 or even 20 schools, but one suggestion was to actually go smaller.

CHADRON – Aspen Becker, a 6-foot middle blocker from Highlands Ranch, Colo., signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Chadron State College, head coach Amy Spruiell announced.
Becker, a four-year letter winner at ThunderRidge High School, was a first-team all-conference selection after accounting for 176 points her senior season. She had 100 kills and added 76 blocks in 51 games.

CHADRON – Three volleyball players will be continuing their careers at Chadron State College after signing National Letters of Intent, head coach Amy Spruiell announced Tuesday.
Jessica Jester and Kyla Duncan will be incoming freshmen, while Kaitlin Luikens joins the CSC program after playing two years at North Platte Community College.
Chadron State participating in four scrimmages on SaturdayCHADRON – The Chadron State College volleyball team is hosting a five-team exhibition tournament Saturday at Armstrong Gymnasium.
In addition to CSC’s team, which features 10 returning players from 2009, volleyball squads from Black Hills State, South Dakota School of Mines, Laramie County Community College and Eastern Wyoming College will be competing.
The Eagles will play four matches, beginning at 10 a.m. The remaining match times for CSC are at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Chadron State College to hold Junior College tryoutsCHADRON – The Chadron State College volleyball team will be having a tryout open to junior college players interested in the possibility of playing for the Eagles. The tryout will be on Saturday, Dec. 12.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the tryout will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. A campus tour will follow the tryout.
UNK, Chadron State ready for RMAC TournamentKEARNEY - The top-seeded University of Nebraska at Kearney volleyball team will play Western New Mexico Thursday in the first round of the 2009 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament at the UNK Health and Sports Center.
Action starts at noon with Metropolitan State and Regis, the tournament's third and sixth seeds, squaring off. Mesa State vs. Adams State and Colorado-Colorado Springs vs. Colorado Mines will follow before the UNK-Western New Mexico match at 7:30 p.m.
The fourth-ranked Lopers (31-1) played Western New Mexico (12-15) earlier this year in Silver City, with the Lopers winning 25-24, 25-22, 25-19.
Regis sweeps Chadron StateDENVER – Regis University’s Jessica Howe and Lyz Kann each had 10 kills and Devin Eckhardt had 43 set assists to help lead the Rangers to a 25-20, 25-18, 25-21 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Chadron State Saturday in Denver.
The Rangers finished the match with 47 total kills – 19 more than Chadron State – and posted a hitting percentage of .255 to improve to 13-12 on the season and 11-6 in the RMAC.
Chadron State falls to 5-18 overall and 5-11 in the conference.
