LINCOLN, Neb. - Tara Mueller had seen it on the recruiting trip, of course. But she still wasn't prepared to actually be "in" it. As she stretched on the floor, looking at Nebraska Coliseum fill up, she felt something more than freshman jitters.
She'd grown up in Arizona, and it wasn't like this there. She could feel the anticipation as people took their seats. It was going to be packed and loud, and so many eyes would be on her.

Huskers and Huskies to air on NET Seattle, Wash. - Due to a partnership between NET and the University of Washington, fans of the Nebraska volleyball team will be able to catch the Huskers' Friday night NCAA Tournament match with the Huskies on NET-1 and NET HD. The match is schedule to start at 9 p.m. (CT) at Washington's Hed-Edmundson
Pavilion, but the start time may be later as it follows the night's first match between Cal and Minnesota.
For fans without access to NET, there will also be a live stream of the match on NCAA.com. As always, John Baylor and Diane Mendenhall will call all the action on the Husker Sports Network, including B107.3 FM in Lincoln and Twister 93.3 FM in Omaha, and on Huskers.com.
If the Huskers win on Friday night, they will advance to Saturday's regional final against Cal or Minnesota.

KEARNEY - Nebraska-Kearney senior volleyball player Jeri Walkowiak is the RMAC Female Athlete of the Month for November.
The league’s sports information directors nominate the student-athletes that are then selected by the league office. Colorado School of Mines cross country runner Ben Zywicki is the league's top male athlete for November.

Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball players received several honors when the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) All-Independent volleyball team was announced Dec. 8. Four NWU players were named to the All-AD3I teams with Laura Brammeier and Caitlin Anderson named to AD3I First-Team, and Kelsey Elman and Erika Goldsmith selected to the Second-Team. Brammeier was the AD3I Co-Player-of-the-Year and Anderson was the Rookie-of-the-Year. In addition, head coach Gina Chambers was named the co-Coach-of-the-Year.
Brammeier, a senior outside hitter from Lincoln, was named an AVCA honorable mention All-American and was also First-Team All-Central Region. This is the second straight season that Brammeier was selected to the All-AD3I First-Team. The Lincoln Southwest H.S., graduate finished her career with 1,235 kills to rank fifth all-time at NWU.
Bartosh, Vance, Hudgens sign with Northwest Missouri StateMARYVILLE, Mo. — Northwest Missouri State volleyball coach Jessica Rinehart has announced the signings of four student-athletes who will compete for the Bearcats beginning next fall.
Brooke Bartosh, a 6-1 middle hitter from Omaha, Neb., led Elkhorn High School to Nebraska Class A and Class B third-place finishes. Bartosh was a two-time all conference selection and was an all-state honorable mention selection twice.
Abby Graves, outside hitter from Grundy Center, Iowa led Grundy Center High School to the state tournament her senior season.
